Self Employed?

So far the Government has announced measures to help those who are employed or those needing to claim SSP, along with measures to help businesses with loans and grants.

We are expecting an announcement later today to offer help to those who are self employed.

An amendment added to the Coronavirus Bill proposes statutory self-employment pay which would cover the lower of £2,917 or 80 per cent of a self-employed person’s monthly earnings, averaged over the last three years.

It is unclear how these payments will be made but as we hear more we will update this page.
